Aesthetical and motivating spaces to study
If you don’t feel like studying at home and you want to find an aesthetical or motivating space for your next studie sesh, here is a list of great study places!
School libraries
If you study at one of the AUHA (Antwerp University Association) institutions, you have access to each school library. Here you can read, work, study or relax. Most of the libraries are also equipped with separate rooms for group projects. As an outsider, it’s possible to buy a membership for €10.
University of Antwerp
Each UAntwerp campus has its own library. On crowded days, you should book a seat in advance via Take a seat.

Permeke
Permeke is a public library in Antwerp. All kinds of people come together here: children, young adults, movie addicts, book lovers, students,… It’s a very popular study place, so make sure to book your spot via Book a place. As this library is a bit more crowded, it’s definitely not a bad idea to bring noise cancelling headphones or earplugs.

Those of you who like to romanticize their study sesh, should absolutely check out Cuperus Horsey, located on the Paardenmarkt. It’s a very cute (and very delicious) coffee place. Perfect for a Rory Gilmore kind of study day, but also for catching up with friends over a cup of coffee or chai.

Study360
Study360 is a project by STAN that creates more opportunities for students to study together. Every exam period, this initiative allows you to reserve a spot at a very unique public study place. When you’re bored of your room, why not try studying at the MAS with a panoramic view over the city? Some locations might even host a silent disco as the ideal study break.
The locations and opening hours vary every period. It’s best to always go as early as possible, because some locations are very popular among students.
